APOCALIPSIS proudly presents “Conmigo No,” the newest single by Atlanta-based, Dominican Republic-rooted artist KATONTHEMUV.

“Conmigo No,” translating to “Not With Me,” presents an unapologetic anthem of pro-Black, Afro-Caribbean empowerment. “Conmigo No” advocates for setting clear boundaries around others’ energies and unbenevolent spiritual forces– the foundation for personal liberation grounded in embracing one’s own power. As KATONTHEMUV affirms, “There are no forces or entities that can stop me from fulfilling my purpose...I won’t allow anyone to make me doubt myself and my potential.”

On “Conmigo No,” KATONTHEMUV imparts melodic rawness over an exquisite instrumental produced by Smoov Sinatra that emphasizes the swift energy of the dancehall en Español track. “Conmigo No” was co-written with Atlanta-based, Panama-rooted artist Nino Augustine, who previously released his single “Agua” with APOCALIPSIS.

On the track, KATONTHEMUV asserts, “Ello dudaron que yo llegaría/ Cierran la puerta y yo invento una vía/ Mi auto estima y mi energía/ No me la quitan no” (“They doubted that I would arrive/ They closed the door and I invent a way/ My self esteem and my energy/ Cannot be taken away from me”). About her journey that inspired the single, she explains, “People doubt you until you go after what you want and prove yourself to yourself. The catch is staying consistent and strong, keeping your head up despite what challenges you may face in your journey.”
